    Calling All Female Cartoonists of Color: POWER & MAGIC Seeks Stories About Queer Witches of Color For Debut Anthology

Power & Magic Press announces open submissions for its debut title, POWER & MAGIC: A Queer Witch Comics Anthology, showcasing stories by women of color that star a queer woman of color as the central protagonist. P&M’s publisher and chief editor, Joamette Gil, is a cartoonist for EverydayFeminism.com whose background is in self-publishing comics about racism, queer experiences, generational trauma, and intersectional feminism using both her personal history and her degree in social justice and psychology as the foundations. The prompt of “queer witches” was chosen to symbolize female strength, togetherness, and freedom from societal constraints.

Submissions for POWER & MAGIC will be open until 11:59 pm PST on March 15th, 2016.
